Some people don't get to have a voice. Some truths are forever ignored by the herd.
Tonight I was sharing food at burger joint in Copenhagen central station with a German guy who is on a hunt to find his wife who is gone missing for several weeks.
his girlfriend went missing for 3 weeks now, and police won't help, so he is travelling Europe to try and find her. And because she is black his parents and family don't want to help. Some nasty racism.
They have been friends since 6 years old and now married.
His best theory, even if a bit crazy as he admitted, is that she got abducted by a band who is known to be insane. She went missing at a concert in London. So he is going whereever the band is playing to try and get answers. Poor and brave soul.
I can't be 100% sure the dude is totally OK in his mind, but he never asked me anything except food, and he is for sure a smart guy who had a really rough life so far. I can't see why he would lie about all those details he shared with me.
It can be a losers game to help the fallen, I know that. The shit he has gone through and will go through in his life is not comparable to a normal person. Most people don't even want to accept that this kind of stuff happens. Most people will look at him and pretend he doesn't exist. Most people won't believe that a person could get abducted by a band.
But there is an underworld out there where crazy events unfold every night. It's almost like an invisible world to the "proper" people out there. They don't want to see it. So it doesn't exist. It hurts me to see these people so alone. Tonight he reminded me of that world and the people in it.
It's insane the amount of pain he is going through and how strong he is
sleep in a tent, go ask strangers for food to save money (he had to quit his job to do this), and just being in your own head all day.
Tomorrow I am going to court and defend my crypto tax situation. That's why I am in Copenhagen. I thought I would be the more dramatic story tonight. Little did I know...
