I gave this little speech at the beginning of 2019 to our awesome Morning Train team.
"2019 looks like the easiest year yet on paper.
We "only" have to grow close to 50% and reach 15 mio in revenue.
BTW An insane goal in most organisations.
But we have proven again and again that we can deliver unusual results that makes others wonder how we do it.
We have talked many times about what our formular for success is. And I think we can agree that high ambition, our hunger, is at the core of the story.
You have all been hungry to prove yourselves. To get results for our clients. To impress their customers. To build up our professional CV to shine.
And it will shine like never before in 2019, I am pretty sure about that.
When Lego says they heard great things about us and asks if we are willing to work for them, then that is a sign of that.
But with this comes also my only concern for 2019 and beyond.
Hunger in paradise.
We will enter a next level soon. We already see it. New fancy office.
I'm not only talking about growth in salary.
Clients like Lego knock on our door.
This is an amazing opportunity.
But when life is easy you start to get lazy. You lose your hunger.
Now is the time we need to remember why we are here and what our potential is.
Imagine being the most respected agency in DK.
Imaging having set new standards for design, coding and marketing.
Imaging sharing our knowledge with the world watching online or at conferences.
Imaging having the most fun time at work because others have that same goal.
Goals like these should keep us hungry.
It is not about working 60 hours a week. It is about having an excitement and a passion to get better today than I was yesterday.
And to have the desire to grow. It is a fire within you that I know you have and that I hope will burn forever.
